Summary
Load/Performance testing is the process of putting demand on a system or device and measuring its response. It is performed to determine a system’s behavior under normal and anticipated peak load conditions. A Load and Performance Developer senior serves as the lead developer on a load and performance team. Load and performance developer Senior works with the architecture lead in defining and developing solutions for a client and/or product. A Load and performance Developer Senior has Achieved a high degree of proficiency in coding solutions and demonstrates excellent conceptual skills. The Load and performance Developer Senior also has experience leading load and performance teams and continually motivates the team to develop solutions that are within established coding standards. A Load and performance Developer Senior is required to develop/code that is utilized by Load and Performance tools. The code and tools will produce performance results in accordance to both technical and functional requirements. Also, these tools will be coded in accordance with established industry and company standards for performance tools.
Responsibilities
With little or no supervision, develops and builds applications within department in a fast-paced object oriented environment. Utilizes numerous sources to obtain and build development skills. Must mentor developers and jr. developers associated with skills in software application development as needed. Receives business requirements from client Business/Developer /testing/Automation and L/P architect owner(s) to successfully develop automation tools, Functions and processes. Conducts and is accountable for unit testing for development assignments. Must be detail-oriented and follow-through on issues. Must be able to work on and manage multiple tasks in addition to working and leading other developers. Must have strong communication skills. Must work closely with project analysts to meet estimated production dates for client. Responsible for enhancing existing applications to meet the needs of ongoing efforts within software platforms.
Load and Performance developers work with the appropriate leads in defining and developing solutions for a client and /or product. A Senior Load and Performance developer has achieved a high degree of proficiency on coding solutions and demonstrates excellent object oriented conceptual skills. The Senior Load and Performance developer also has the experience leading test teams and continually motivates the team and develop solutions that are within established coding standards. May direct the work efforts of load and performance developers. Develops and understanding of TSYS, software platforms. Develops a good understanding of TSYS, software platforms, and the credit card industry. Develops a good understanding of the project testing/management processes, methodology, and the impact of the project management metrics. Participate in team, department, and division meeting as required. May supervise no more than two level I and/or II team members.
Qualifications
Education/Experience
Senior Level:
Four year college degree and 4 or more year’s professional experience or 6 or more year’s professional experience is required. Candidates should have hands-on, object oriented development experience as well as with Java. A Computer related BS and/or Sun certified programmer is preferred. Experience developing within an n-tier architecture is preferred as well as experience with Oracle 8i/9i and BEA Web logic. . Appropriate TSYS experience is preferred.

Lead Level:
