Position Description • Develop Winform applications, databases and web services using primarily .NET, SQL Server and other Microsoft technologies • Create and modify database schema for new and existing application development • Contribute during Agile planning, technical design, and task estimation • Clear understanding and comprehension of concepts and business logic for developing financial software • Configure existing applications to meet customer requirements and objectives • Influence, coach, mentor others to increase team skills and knowledge • Unit test work to ensure it meets requirements and to minimize rework • Take part in peer code reviews (asking for or giving reviews) to ensure work complies with the definition of done Position Requirements Essential: • Excellent .Net Developer skills with C# or other .Net language (minimum 3 years experience) • Solid SQL database knowledge with use of either Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Microsoft Access • Excellent communication skills - contribute/ propose/ facilitate in meetings • Ability to communicate directly with and gather requirements from clients • Ability to write Technical Client Documentation • Can demonstrate strong problem solving and analytical skills Desirable: • Working knowledge of C++, Visual Basic 6 and COM • Previous experience in banking or financial industries • Understanding of Web Service design and implementation • Experience with Source Control Tools SunGard Ambit Risk & Performance Management offers modular solutions for credit risk, asset/liability and market risk management, liquidity risk management, performance management, regulatory compliance and economic capital management. We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a mid level C# Developer with a minimum 3 years experience to join our Melbourne CBD office. As part of an Agile environment, the developer will work closely with our major banking industry clients gathering requirements to enhance and extend our existing software suite. As a developer you will be responsible for designing and implementing new features and tools using predominantly C# but also existing C++ and VB6 technologies.
