Position Description • Design and develop modules for Java Application using Java, REST, Spring and Hibernate • Manage aspects of the web application security and create best practices and coding guidelines for the team • Review source code for security vulnerabilities (white and black box methodologies). • Perform Threat Modeling activities across a variety of environments. • Create and deliver relevant secure coding and application security training. • Perform internal application penetration testing activities and facilitate third party assessments primarily targeting web and other internally homegrown applications. • Produce key performance indicator (KPI) metrics and trending as well as general reporting for the application security program. • Represent the Information Security team on all application security matters across the organization including ad-hoc meetings as well as various committees and workgroups. • Create and maintain technical documentation. Position Requirements • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related discipline • Proficiency in programming with Java Development using Spring, Hibernate, REST/SOAP • Knowledge of SAML and OAuth is a plus • 7+ years of software development experience. • 5+ years of work experience in application security and hands-on security assessments. • Good experience on web Service Security domain – REST as well as SOAP • Experience with at least two of the following scripting languages:   Python, Perl, JavaScript. • Knowledge of secure development techniques and vulnerabilities including the OWASP Top 10. • Working experience with software development methodologies and practices. • Methodical and organized; able to manage multiple opportunities, projects, and partners concurrently. • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills. • Ability to communicate with employees at all levels of the organization. • Ability to work with multidisciplinary and cross-functional teams. • Must be able to multi-task and work independently with minimum supervision to meet tight deadlines. • Relevant Certifications: GWAPT, GSSP-JAVA or GWEB SunGard Financial Systems provides mission-critical software and IT services to institutions in virtually every segment of the financial services industry.
