Position Responsibilities This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Data Center Services support teams, including Operations, Production Support and Unix Systems. The direct reports for this position include the managers of; Operations, Production Support and Unix Systems. This position will collaborate with each of the direct reports to accomplish various departmental objectives, some of which include the following; • Management and oversight of a global team of employees. Assignment and tracking of projects to team members. Scoping and defining projects and setting project timeframes, insuring projects are completed within those timeframes and that resources are being utilized fully and effectively. • Weekly creation and submission of status report, identifying accomplishments, issues and project updates. • Recommending and implementing both hardware and software technology changes as needed and to deliver our products and services on the best possible platforms with the highest system availability.   • Tracking and reviewing all server, network and other performance data to insure optimal system performance is being achieved. Collaborating with Development team to identify and implement performance monitoring and improvements. • Researching, resolving and responding to daily incidents having customer impact. Insuring SLA levels are being met. • Maintaining, testing and continuously improving the business continuity plan for the business unit and various products supported by the business unit. Conducting annual business continuity exercises for the business unit and individual customer contracted business continuity exercises.   • Participating in various audits, conducted on an annual basis, and insuring appropriate policies and procedures are maintained for each department. Audits performed by third parties, customers, federal government, SunGard Internal Audit and Corporate Security • Collaborating with Information Security to insure proper controls are developed and maintained. Insuring best practices for information security are implemented. In addition to the above objectives this position will also work closely with the VP of Data Center Services with the following; • Creating annual budgets, identify appropriate capital expenditures, tracking and forecasting expenses. • Overseeing hardware and software maintenance contracts and purchases, maintaining vendor relationships. • Collaborating with Corporate Accounting, Procurement, Info Security and Audit. Position Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology. Minimum ten years of experience in the following areas; UNIX System Administration, preferably with Oracle’s Solaris operating systems and servers. Computer Operations. Networking & Telecommunications. Managerial leadership. Hardware and software vendor management and contract negotiations. Familiarity with the following; Automated job schedulers. Computer performance monitoring and  reporting    applications. Computer hardware and networking. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage and motivate a global work force. Proficient with all Microsoft Office products and SharePoint. Familiarity with current hardware and software technology trends. North American Securities - InTrader Business Unit, Hopkins, MN
