The UX department are big on usability research and testing, agile and lean methodologies, artisan coffee and 80s one-hit wonders. The team can often be found in their onsite usability lab.

THE ROLE

We’re looking for a Senior UX designer to work on engaging, innovative projects at the lastminute.com headquarters in Farringdon, London. You’ll spend your days in a lean environment, rapid-prototyping and iterating our suite of products including apps, mobile and site.

As an essential member of the UX team, you’ll evolve a responsive, cross-device user interface that delights customers and meets business goals.


RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Improve conversion, product and site simplification across all channels.
  • Collect and analyse information about customers through user research, usability and MVT testing using our onsite lab. Input on team strategy, roadmaps, site analysis and site-wide standardisation across all products, services and channels.
  • Create prototypes, wireframes, sitemaps and flow diagrams.
  • Work with stakeholders, devs and visual designers to translate wireframes and prototypes into functioning products.


EXPERIENCE

Essential
  • Solid understanding of usability, interaction design and information architecture.
  • An impeccable design eye, with the ability to champion our brand guidelines through meaningful designs.
  • Practical knowledge of user experience across multiple channels including web, mobile, tablet and app.
  • Experience working with complex sites that integrate database, services or CMS driven content.
  • Involvement in running task analysis, heuristic evaluation, rapid prototyping or other methods of user analysis.
  • Ability to present concise analysis and recommendations to a diverse audience.

Desirable
  • Conducting or overseeing usability sessions and workshops.
  • Working remotely with distributed teams across multiple time zones.
  • Mentoring junior UX design staff.
  • A practical understanding of code

SPECIALIST KNOWLEDGE

Essential
  • Prototyping (e.g. Axure) and Photoshop.

Useful
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, agile or lean methodologies.
