Description

Summary
Formulates testing plans through analysis of business and/or technical requirements and collaboration with Business and technical resources. Produces test plans and scripts necessary to satisfy business and/or technical requirements. Performs risk assessment of test designs and scenarios to mitigate risk while still meeting required timelines. Coordinates with technical and business resources to identify and correct system defects that are detected during the testing activity. Performs test analyses and issues resolutions of business and project requirements.

Responsibilities
With little or no direction, executes functional, manual testing using various channels (on-line, batch and data verification) and tools to achieve test results. Creates test designs according to project requirements. Possess experience testing in client server, web services and mainframe environments. Experience testing multiple communication channels, such as contact Center, web portal, smart device, etc. Possesses strong working knowledge of tools used to create test designs and execute test plans. Performs test analysis on complex project requirements. Responsible for resolving complex issues identified in testing. Designs contingency plans as needed. Coordinates with technical and business resources to identify and correct system defects discovered during the testing activity. Performs risk analyses requirements for integrated testing. Demonstrates a broad knowledge of the multiple environments. Possesses the ability to edit data utilizing FileAid. Demonstrates extensive knowledge and understanding of structured analysis and design as it relates to the test design. Possesses proficiency in the use of the following tools: XML, SOAP Sonar, Quality Center, Rational Quality Manager (RQM) Recognizes the inter-relationships between the various functional components of the mainframe systems (i.e. collections, posting, authorizations, commercial, consumer), middleware systems and the business, technical and project requirements in order to determine the appropriate testing methodology to use during test execution and validation. Able to create and produce diagnostic and trending reports/dashboards for measuring and communicating testing results and current status, using the Testing Management tools.
Understands and has experience using Agile, iterative Methodologies. Be able to work in a highly collaborative environment. May conduct test plan reviews. May review documentation such as business and technical specifications in order to ensure that the documentation is updated and accurate. Works with programming to create certain account conditions and execute special testing requirements for test validation. Works on multiple tasks during the testing activity to meet project requirements, expectations and timelines May support or participate in the execution of Quality Analyst job duties. May coordinate and schedule project assignments within the team environment as needed. May supervise a limited number of team members, typically 2 to 3.

Qualifications

Previous Experience as a tester required

Level II:
Four year college degree and 2 or more years professional experience or 4 or more years professional experience is required. Appropriate TSYS experience is preferred.

Senior Level:
Four year college degree and 4 or more years professional experience or 6 or more years professional experience is required. Appropriate TSYS experience is preferred.

Specialist Level:
Four year college degree and 6 or more years professional experience or 8 or more years professional experience is required. Appropriate TSYS experience is preferred.

Consultant Level:
Four year college degree and 8 or more years professional experience or 10 or more years professional experience is required. Appropriate TSYS experience is preferred.

Strongly Preferred Skills:
