Description

offices and serves approximately 554,000 payroll clients nationwide.
We provide comprehensive payroll services, including payroll processing,
payroll tax administration, time and attendance solutions, and employee
pay services. Human Resource Services include 401(k) plan
recordkeeping, workers' compensation administration, section 125 plans, a
professional employer organization, and other administrative services
for business.
- With manager guidance, discussing and developing the required testing strategy and tasks in order to evaluate a feature or function of a program or environment and determine that it meets its required results; executing those features and functions with the intent of finding errors.
- Creating and modifying manual System and Regression test scripts for complex changes to ensure the change meets the business requirements, specifications, and design.
- Executing both manual and automated System and Regression test scripts and validating expected results. Reporting defects to the builder of the change and following through to ensure that all defects are addressed.
- Communicating the testing process and status to project team members and the test manager to ensure timelines and quality are met.
- Coordinating software testing tasks with peers and other Information Technology teams at the project level to ensure needed resources are identified and obtained.
- Maintaining test environments (multiple application, data/databases, and infrastructure versions) including creation of test tools, as necessary, to facilitate the maintenance of those environments.
- Working across different application and infrastructure platforms, as well as recognizing impact across those platforms and the Information Technology division to identify test team and project team needs early and throughout day-to-day tasks or project cycles.
- Reviewing and providing input on proposed new business requirements and their specifications and design documents to gain a thorough understanding of the application and/or infrastructure changes that are to be System and Regression tested. Reviewing user documentation and training materials related to the application changes and/or infrastructure changes for accuracy and completeness.
- Formulating the resource testing estimates required for projects based on business requirements, specifications, and designs.
- Authoring and documenting a summary of the application changes and/or infrastructure changes for the user audiences in Information Technology and the required operating unit.
- Complying with, creating, or making changes when required to established Testing standards and procedures that are documented in the Test Policy. This ensures testing process consistency (e.g. change management SOX, version control, defect tracking, test artifact provision for 404 Audit) and the proper use of other testing related tools, test processes, and procedures.
- Acquiring and utilizing in-depth business, software application, and technical knowledge to maximize effectiveness and quality when completing or assisting in the completion of testing tasks.
- Participating in Simulation, User Acceptance, and Limited Production testing events to validate application quality prior to general roll out.
- Mentoring less senior team members. Sharing expertise and providing guidance to others as required to assist the testing team.
- Providing training to peers/staff on topics such as application/infrastructure changes, problem solving, and testing tools.
- Responding to peer, management, and others' inquiries regarding testing tasks effectively. Researching and resolving issues related to testing tasks in appropriate time frame in order to assure test planning schedules are met.
- Collecting and analyzing statistical information, such as defect density or test effectiveness, for management's review and the improvement of testing or other teams' processes.
Qualifications
High
school diploma and a minimum of 5 years of Information Technology
experience are required (Associate's or Bachelor's degree is
preferred.). Consideration may be given to a candidate with a degree in
lieu of experience. Customer service, problem resolution, technical,
and communication skills are required.
Special Skills Needed:
- Familiarity with IIST standards and theories or equivalent
- Familiarity with tools: Quality Center, Quick Test Professional, Open View Service Center, Database Query tools (SQL), and Process Management tools (Rally, MS Project Manager)
- Technical knowledge on PC, Windows, UNIX, Web, and Citrix environments
- Knowledge of process improvement techniques: ITIL, Lean Six Sigma, CMMI
- Automation test knowledge: VBScript, C#, VB, Visual Studio .Net, SQL
